SYNC

I designed a couple of basic logos for Newcastle University's up coming research exchange hub.

"Sync will remove the barriers between science and the public by helping universities and scientists focus on the real needs of people in order to maximise research impact. Sync will engage universities, key stakeholders, and the public in ongoing dialogue to proactively connect research programmes to people's needs by creating an interactive knowledge exchange hub."

I think both logos are successful and could be used for either web or print publications. I personally prefer the top logo, I think it looks more interesting and have a higher level of detail. Where as the lower is more basic and less appealing. Both where created in adobe illustrator using custom brushes. Even though neither are particularly my style I still like them both mainly due to their colour pallet.
