Firstly I collected some of my own imagery of a local coastline using my digital camera, these pictures were taken at Bamburgh beach in Northumberland, not far from where I live. I tried to keep the images from looking to crisp and focused, so I took off some of the auto setting to get more of an older cameras style of picture.
I then began to combine these images with the logos I had already created, I took both parts into photoshop and edited them from there first cropping the images to the size I wanted and adding filters where necessary.
I then added the logos over the top, with the cross logo it stood out well straight away, so I then looked to style it in a similar way to Norse Projects, I realized they seem to make their logo slightly translucent on their imagery. I gave this a try and was happy with the results, it seems to bend the two aspects together well.
Then with the patch idea it did not stand out so well, I added a slightly larger translucent box behind the logo. Again with one I left it with 100% opacity and with the other I lowered it. I like both ideas so I think I will continue to use both.
